The Rutherford High School English and music departments are thrilled to announce the winners in this year's PTA Reflections contest. Each year, students in Pre-K through Grade 12 are invited to create and submit original works of art in the areas of Dance Choreography, Film Production, Literature, Music Composition, Photography and Visual Arts. RHS Celebrates The Roaring 20’s – It’s Gatsby Day!
Students in Ms. Prinzo's English 200 classes have been working hard researching cultural aspects of the 1920s (such as jazz, fashion trends, political changes, and of course prohibition!) and prepared an immersive 1920s experience for all to enjoy! The students worked along-side RHS Media Specialist Ms. Mayo to put together an afternoon that truly was "the bees knees!"

RHS Academic Decathlon Takes 2nd Place in Regionals with 77 Individual Awards!
The Rutherford High School Academic Decathlon took 2nd place overall in the Regional Competition, garnering a whopping 77 individual awards! The team will now move on to states. The State Championship is on Feb. 29th.
Some highlights:
Tierra Sherlock: 10 for 10, with an award in each category, including Gold in Speech
Christina Scanlon: 8 out of 10, with Gold in Music and Art
Matt Peeples: 8 out of 10, w/ Gold in Literature and Science, second highest scorer in his category.
