The main objective of the World Language Department is to help students cultivate a measurable degree of communicative proficiency and cultural understanding. Students will develop, reinforce, and refine proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, writing. The teaching of culture is integral to foster cultural awareness and to have our students make connections to other disciplines. The World Language programs for students to develop real life skills that will help them live and work in a global and culturally diverse society.

Seal of Biliteracy
The Seal of Biliteracy is a way to acknowledge and award our bilingual and multilingual students. Juniors and seniors have the opportunity to earn the Seal of Biliteracy by demonstrating that they are able to speak, read, comprehend and write in two or more languages at a high level of proficiency. Please watch the informational video and print and complete this application if interested. Bring the completed copy (along with payment) to Ms. Yoda in Room 302.
