RHS Presents Popcert 42!
Rutherford High School is proud to present Popcert 42! This will be the 42nd year that this dynamic musical exhibition has been presented in the Rutherford High School Auditorium. It was first developed as a way to celebrate "popular" music at a time when school choirs and bands focused on traditional music. Over the years, it has morphed into a variety show featuring bands and solo performances. On March 25th an 26th, RHS students competed in various events, attended leadership workshops and networked with 800 fellow FCCLA members in the state.

RHS Concert Choir Performs at Carnegie Hall in NYC
On March 23, 2026, the Rutherford Concert Choir sang at the esteemed Carnegie Hall under the direction of University of Kentucky Director of Choral Activities, Jefferson Johnson. For the past two months, students worked extremely hard to learn challenging repertoire and rehearsed with choirs from Kentucky and North Carolina. Two RHS students were even featured in a small group at the beginning of one of the songs, Nina Tavani and Vivienne Virostko. Congratulations to eighth grade students Gwendolyn Allen, Mariana Brochero, Maia Floresca, Izabella Pinglora, Valentina Verdicchio, and Amanda White, along with seventh grade students Cecelia Boglivi and Alex Redden from Union Middle School, for their outstanding performance as members of the 2026 NJSMA Region 1 Intermediate Treble Choir on Sunday, March 22nd at Clifton High School in Clifton, New Jersey!
