The departments within this grouping include Art, Music, Theatre, Family and Consumer Sciences and Media Technology in Grades 7-12. Each of these five areas offers exciting electives as well as extra-curricular clubs and activities. FPPA classes are project based, requiring students to perform or create based on the concepts and skills studied and mastered in each class. Whether drawing, painting, singing, acting, playing an instrument, sewing, filming a movie, designing or cooking, students gain the valuable experience of practical application of what they have studied. Students grow in their individual talents as well as having multiple opportunities for teamwork.

For information about the Music Boosters, please click here. The Rutherford High School Music Boosters is comprised of parents/guardians who have students involved in the choir, concert band, marching band or musical. They raise money to offset the costs of trips and provide scholarships to seniors. They also maintain individual “accounts” for students, so that their fundraising efforts can go into their account to pay for trips.
