The RHS Theatre students have been working hard on Neil Simon's "Barefoot in the Park." This show will be presented Friday and Saturday (11/16&17) evening at 7:30 in the RHS Auditorium. This hilarious show follows newlyweds Corrie and Paul as they embark on their life together. Throw in a meddling mother-in-law, a quirky neighbor, and a harried telephone repairman and their life is certainly off to an auspicious start! The students and teachers in Union Middle School and Rutherford High School finished up the first month of school with lots of great discussion and writing in their English classes. Students came in to school prepared to write and discuss their independently chosen summer reading selection. This first writing prompt gave teachers a baseline writing sample in which to plan further writing lessons. Students have begun to delve into their first literature selection and the many creative and analytical projects that go along with it.
