UMS art student Erin Park (8th Grade) and RHS art students Dana Serea (10th Grade) and Brandon Fried (12th Grade) have been selected as winners in The Montclair Art Museum's 2020 Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. The Trial of Victor Frankenstein
As a culminating activity, Mr. Stracco's Honors 400 English Class performed a mock trial for the novel, Frankenstein. The students put the main character Victor Frankenstein, the creator of the Creature, on trial for obstruction of justice during the trial of Justine Moritz, third-degree murder for the death of William Frankenstein, and first-degree murder for both Henry Clerval and Elizabeth Lavenza. RHS Art Students Exhibit Work on Park Avenue
During the month of January, the work of Rutherford High School artists is on display at Coccia Realty at 11 Park Avenue. The exhibition is sponsored by The Rutherford Arts Council. Apply for College Credit for Classes Taken in RHS
During the week of December 2nd, Department Supervisors will be visiting the classes in which students are eligible to earn college credits at Bergen Community College. Supervisors will assist students in completing the first step of the process in class. Once that is complete, the student (along with her/his parent/guardian) will have to complete the process on her/his own. RHS is Victorious in Annual Spelling Bee
Rutherford High School was once again victorious in the annual Spelling Bee against Becton Regional High School. Over the three-hour competition held on Wednesday, November 27th, students in the National Honor Society dazzled the audience with their spellings of such difficult words as: echelon, surreptitious, genealogical, velociraptor, machination, epicurean, gubernatorial, inquietude, and anticoagulant.
