Congratulations to senior Marina Faltawws who was the New Jersey state winner for the Elks Association Drug Awareness Program Video Contest. The theme of the contest was “One Pill Can Kill” and Marina’s video took an introspective look into the life of someone struggling with dependence and how one friend asking, “Are you okay?” can set someone on the path to seeking help. Marina has taken TV Production and TV Workshop with teacher Mr. Steven Mett. We are proud of her work in winning this award and are thankful for Rutherford Elks #547 for sponsoring this contest and showcasing the arts in the Rutherford Public Schools.
