During the last two weeks, our Foods classes have been concluding their dessert unit with pies and beginning their egg unit with homemade pudding pies. The students learned a new technique called tempering. This allows the eggs to be added to a hot liquid in a controlled environment to prevent them from scrambling. Rutherford High School Students Win at the FBLA Regional Competition
Under the direction of Ms. Cherryl Bott and Mrs. Judy Leonard, Rutherford High School had 41 students participate in the NJ Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) Northern Regional Competition. CPA Talks to RHS Accounting Classes
The New Jersey Society of CPAs (NJCPA) annually offers all NJ high schools the opportunity to participate in its Career Awareness Program (CAP). The purpose of the CAP program is to expose high school students to the accounting profession through career presentations. This year Rutherford HS was one of the 98 high schools that participated in the CAP program. Parents are invited to attend another Care Plus Parent Academy presentation on Wednesday, December 7, at Pierrepont School. The topic, Organization and Focus to Keep Your Student Organized, is intended for parents of those in Elementary-Middle School.
