We have had a busy fall so far. It is hard to believe that first quarter of the school year is coming to a close! We were very lucky to have had two players from the NY Jets and the founder of Stomp Out Bullying speak with our 5th and 6th graders during the Week of Respect. Pierrepont School was selected by Google to have our STEM and Computer Applications students attend virtual field trips using Explorer AR technology. The school year is off to a great start! Students and teachers have been very busy and working hard. The teachers and I enjoyed seeing so many parents at Back to School Night and are looking forward to working together with you throughout the school year. This year is moving by very quickly! We have had a busy few weeks completing the PARCC testing, celebrating our Books and Beyond graduates, and being entertained by our chorus. Our students raised $5,000 for a school in Uganda through the Funds For Farming program sponsored by Change A Life Uganda. Thank you to Ms. Mann for coordinating the program. PRINCIPAL’S PARENT HOTLINE Our school year is flying by and we have officially crossed the midway point of the year. Please review with your children what you expect them to do if an emergency closing is called after the start of the school day. In the event of an emergency closing, students will be dismissed at 12:20 p.m. After school care is canceled on emergency closing days.
