This school year, Pierrepont School will be hosting its 9th Annual Literacy Fair. The goal is to get our Pierrepont Elementary students excited about reading and provide an opportunity to share one of their favorite books with the rest of the school in a creative way. The reading fair also gives students an opportunity to demonstrate their knowledge of the parts of a book and the components of a story. Inclement Weather
Should a one-session day be called because of inclement weather, students in 4-6 will be dismissed at 12:20 p.m. It is imperative that your children know the procedures you expect them to follow upon leaving school. The “Connect 5” system will notify parents by contacting phone numbers and/or email addresses currently on school records. Each Pierrepont Family received a “Connect 5” call earlier this year during our test run. Please note that Tuesday, December 23rd is a one session day. Lunch will not be served but students can bring a light snack. All students will be dismissed at 12:20pm. Bulldog Buddy Program
This November, we kicked off our Bulldog Buddy Program here at Pierrepont School. The Bulldog Buddy Program is a leadership opportunity designed for 6th-grade students who demonstrate respect, responsibility, and self-awareness. Students who are selected will serve as positive role models by visiting a 5th or 4th-grade classroom to read books that focus on social-emotional learning, character education, and our Profile of a Rutherford Graduate pillars.
