This year is moving by very quickly! We have had a busy few weeks with PARCC testing. Our students raised over $2600 for a school in Uganda through the Funds For Farming program sponsored by Change A Life Uganda. Thank you to Ms. Mann for coordinating the program. Books and Beyond graduation will be held on May 3 for students in grade 5 and May 4 for students in grade 6. May 7-11 is Teacher Appreciation Week. Happy Spring! I know that we are all looking forward to some sunshine and warm weather.  PARCC assessments will take place from April 24- May 2. All students will test during the morning sessions. Make up testing will take place as needed beginning May 3rd. It is important that all students arrive to school on time, bring wired headphones with them, and that 6th graders bring their Chromebooks fully charged. The school year is moving along and we have been keeping busy at Pierrepont School! It is hard to believe that we are  midway through the third quarter already. We have been celebrating reading with a sprit week leading up to Read Across America Day on March 2nd. Staff and students are invited to dress up as their favorite book character on Friday March 2nd, and our 6th graders will serve as volunteer readers throughout the day. Our school year is flying by and we have officially crossed the midway point of the year. Please review with your children what you expect them to do if an emergency closing is called after the start of the school day. In the event of an emergency closing, students will be dismissed at 12:20 p.m. After school care is canceled on emergency closing days.
