The annual Scholastic Book Fair is scheduled for October 10-16 in the Pierrepont School Library. Each child is receiving a Scholastic Reading Brochure that contains a list of some of the books that will be available. Please take the time to discuss this reading list with your child. Then, send in the list of books you and your child want to purchase, along with cash or a check made payable to “Pierrepont PTA.” Please note the amount allowed in the “memo” section of your check. Students in Mr. Bach's 5th Grade Class recently completed a lesson on story elements. They used the "flipped classroom" model where they were required to watch a video the night prior for homework. They came in with background knowledge on the topic and were able to jump right into the lesson.
