Fourth Grade Science Activity
Students in Mr. Vaccaro's and Mrs. Barone's 4th Grade Science class are learning how the skeletal and muscular systems work together so the body can more. They took turns using a tape measure to note and record the length and width of the triceps and biceps while contracted, and relaxed. They compared the measurements to discuss how the muscles change as they move, and they composed a written description of how the muscles change as they pull on the bone to move the arm.
Silver Bells 2024
Pierrepont School’s SILVER BELLS program, sponsored by the Service Club and PTA, will begin on November 18, 2024. The SILVER BELLS program provides needy families in our school and community with items such as warm clothing and special wish list gifts for the children. (These families, as always, will remain confidential.) The Service Club under the direction of Mrs. Frattarola will be collecting money in special SILVER BELLS canisters located in all homerooms. Pierrepont School’s Sweet Experience at a Mock Election
In a fun twist on Election Day, Pierrepont School recently held a "Mock Candy Election" thanks to the hard work and creativity of sixth-grade teachers, Ms. Jacki Mann and Ms. Allie Herring and cooperation and support of the entire school. The event allowed students to dive into the basics of election processes while campaigning to find out the ultimate school favorite: chocolate or gummy candy! We have had a busy fall so far. It is hard to believe that first quarter of the school year is coming to a close! Parents will receive a notification when reports are finalized and ready to view. The students will be learning about the electoral process and will be participating in a school wide mock election to select the best candy. The lost and found is filling up.
