We are proud to recognize two Pierrepont School students, Hanna Lee and Rosa Amine, for their outstanding achievement in the Bergen County "My County" Poster Contest. This annual contest is held each April during County Government Week and is open to all 4th-grade students across Bergen County. Hanna and Rosa were both selected as Honorable Mention winners. I am so proud of all the hard work our students and staff demonstrated during the first quarter of the school year! The first few weeks of quarter 2 are off to a great start. Silver Bells 2024
Fourth Grade Science Activity
Students in Mr. Vaccaro's and Mrs. Barone's 4th Grade Science class are learning how the skeletal and muscular systems work together so the body can more. They took turns using a tape measure to note and record the length and width of the triceps and biceps while contracted, and relaxed. They compared the measurements to discuss how the muscles change as they move, and they composed a written description of how the muscles change as they pull on the bone to move the arm.
