March is an exciting and busy time here at RHS. We just concluded a successful winter season. As busy as the winter season was, we have an even busier spring ahead. We start the month with another presentation through our Parent Academy. “Strategies for Building Independence and Resilience in Children” will take place on March 5 at 7:00 PM in the RHS auditorium. Our school musical, Chicago, will be performed on March 6, 7 and 8. The popular Mike Cassidy Shamrock ‘N Run 5K will take place on March 7. Many of our students and staff volunteer for this wonderful cause. A Post-Secondary Information Night hosted by the guidance department will take place on March 19. The REF is sponsoring a Harlem Wizards night on March 25. The Rutherford Education Association is hosting a March Madness Food and Fun Day at Washington School on March 28. The third quarter benchmarks will start on March 27 and run through April 1. The most popular Spirit Week will take place during the week of March 23. The Class of 2021 will be enjoying the Junior Dinner Dance on April 3. Dr. Hopkins and I have been working diligently on NJSLA preparations and this year’s NJSLA testing will be held in May. A detailed schedule will be posted shortly. As always feel free to contact the main office with any questions.
