For the first time, Rutherford High School competed in the Metro Awards. The Metro Awards is a competition for high schools in Bergen, Rockland, Putnam, and Westchester counties that honors excellence in musical theatre. RHS’ production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella was judged against 56 other schools.
The RHS production of Rodgers and Hammerstein’s Cinderella has earned a nomination in the category of Outstanding Duet. Sophomore Tierra Sherlock (Ella) and senior Morgan Sherlock (Marie) proved that nothing is “Impossible” and brought home the high school’s very first nomination the very first time they entered the awards. The cast will travel to SUNY Purchase on June 11 to participate in the Metro Awards and to cheer on their cast mates Tierra and Morgan. The creative team is infinitely proud of the cast and crew!!
