Summer Vibes: An End-Of-Year Poetry & Music Celebration
There are not many better combinations than a beautiful morning, live music, and a celebration of writing! As we all gear up for an exciting summer, the students in Mrs. Manocchio and Ms. Levine's ELA classes spent some time outside "chalking up the blacktop" with wonderful summer-themed haiku poems. The writers were accompanied by a solo acoustic guitar performance by classmate Lucas Linardos, who strummed along to song requests in the background, as his classmates wrote their haikus in sidewalk chalk and drew visual images to go with them. Pierrepont School and The Law Enforcement Torch Run
Pierrepont School students and staff raised $881.00 for the NJ Law Enforcement Torch Run, which benefits the NJ Special Olympics. Service club sponsored the fundraiser by selling 400 paper torches that are displayed in the main hallway of Pierrepont. Our top 2 fundraising homerooms will walk to Park Avenue on the day of the event to cheer on our Rutherford Police Department officers as they run with the torch as it passes through Rutherford.
