The Boro of Rutherford revitalized the pedestrian tunnel on Park Avenue (that connects Park Ave to the Kip Parking Garage) and the art department is excited to showcase student artwork in their new displays. Last week, Jerry Pallotta visited Pierrepont School. Students in all grades enjoyed his presentation, especially learning about how he created his "Who Would Win" series. All students are currently creating their own "Who Win Would" animal battles in library class and this was a great inspiration for those projects!

Literature Circle Discussions
Students in Mrs. Manocchio & Ms. Levine's 6th grade language arts classes prepared for and participated in literature circle discussions surrounding their latest class novel, The Giver by Lois Lowry. All students came to the group's discussion with specific jobs, including identifying and defining new vocabulary terms, describing and analyzing important characters, and asking "thick" questions regarding plot events.
