Students at Pierrepont Elementary School recently participated in the second annual Hoops for Heart program, raising money for the American Heart Association. Ms. Mahoney & Mrs. Singer, event coordinators and physical education teachers at Pierrepont, are very proud of the students who participated as the group raised $12,015! Hoops for Heart encourages students to take careof their heart through physical activity while making a difference in the lives of others. “March Madness” at Pierrepont School
The school year is moving along and we have been keeping busy at Pierrepont School! It is hard to believe that we are midway through the third quarter already. We have been celebrating reading with a sprit week leading up to Read Across America Day on March 2nd. Staff and students are invited to dress up as their favorite book character on Friday March 2nd, and our 6th graders will serve as volunteer readers throughout the day. Virtual Field Trip
Mrs. Philp and Mrs. Smith's classes took a virtual museum visit via the internet. Students were escorted through the halls of the newly built Museum of the American Revolution in Philadelphia, PA via the Scholastic program. Students saw artifacts and saw visual concepts that they are currently learning in fifth grade. Everyone enjoyed the "trip".
