In Sixth Grade social studies, the students have been studying The Stone Age and the accompanying cave art. They learned about the way prehistoric humans would hunt, gather, find shelter, and migrate following animals in order to survive. The students then created a writing piece that summarized a typical Stone Age occurrence, such as cooking food by the fire or spearing a wild animal. Using brown poster paper and chalk pastel crayons, they depicted that event in image form.
