Students in Mrs. Manocchio & Ms. Levine's 6th grade language arts classes prepared for and participated in literature circle discussions surrounding their latest class novel, The Giver by Lois Lowry. All students came to the group's discussion with specific jobs, including identifying and defining new vocabulary terms, describing and analyzing important characters, and asking "thick" questions regarding plot events. Dear Parents/Guardians, Once again, Pierrepont School is pleased to participate in the reading motivational program, BOOKS AND BEYOND. We will begin the program on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 for students in Grade 4 and 5. This year’s theme is “Bulldog Pride!” The following will give you a basic introduction to the program. The purpose of Books and Beyond is to generate behavioral changes in students in the area of recreational reading habits.
