Second graders are learning all about geography! Mrs. D’Anneo’s students read the book Me on the Map and discussed where we are in the world- from our classroom and school to our town, state, country, and planet. Students enjoyed exploring maps, making connections to their own communities, and discovering how every place fits into the bigger world around us. Honoring Our Veterans
Washington School hosted a very touching, student-led Memorial Day assembly honoring local veterans and family members who have served our country. Students demonstrated Rutherford competencies such as citizenship, communication, and caring through patriotic songs, a presentation about America’s White Table, and facts about the American flag. The assembly reflected respect, gratitude, and pride as students thoughtfully recognized and honored our special guests. New Parent Orientation
Information sessions for parents new to the Kindergarten Center, Lincoln School, or Washington School will be held on Tuesday, May 12 at the respective schools. The evening events provide parents an opportunity to see their child's school and to hear more about the school community their child will be joining in the fall. Letters have gone out from the respective school principal from the school your child has been assigned to.
