Coach Helphingstine, along with STEAM Team members Jack Mauro, Ambur Patel, Gabby Pakovics, and Sam Kudrna, participated in the VEX Robotics Qualifier competition, where they placed first, and also the VEX Robotics State Championship, where they placed first in both the skills and teamwork categories and increased their overall score from 113 to 146 points. The STEAM Team works tirelessly, coming in at 7 a.m. each morning and working until 6 and even 8 p.m. in the weeks before a competition.
