March is an exciting and busy time here at RHS. We just concluded a successful winter season. As busy as the winter season was, we have an even busier spring ahead. We start the month off with another student presentation on March 4 given by the very popular Stephen Hill. This program will motivate our 9 & 10th grade students to make smart choices and positive change. Our school musical, Matilda, will be performed on March 4, 5 and 6. The popular Mike Cassidy Shamrock ‘N Run 5K will take place on March 12. Many of our students and staff volunteer for this wonderful cause. Dr. Hopkins has been working diligently on NJGPA testing which all 11th graders must take. This (NJGPA) Graduation Proficiency Assessment will take place on March 15 and 16 for math and March 17 and 18 for English Language Arts. The Rutherford Education Association is hosting a March Madness Food and Fun Day at Pierrepont School on March 19. The REF is sponsoring a Harlem Wizards night on March 23. A Post-Secondary Information Night hosted by the guidance department will take place on March 24. The most popular Spirit Week will take place during the week of March 28. The third quarter benchmarks will start on March 30 and run through April 4. The Class of 2023 will be enjoying the Junior Dinner Dance on April 8.
