Pierrepont School sixth graders took a field trip to Medieval Times. They had a great time! Pi Day
Each year, Ms. Scrimenti holds Pi Day challenges in her classroom. One of the challenges this year was to memorize Pi to the furthest digit. Both Ms. Scrimenti and Mrs. Bongiovanni's homerooms have been working hard and practicing their Pi reciting. In the end, Michael Boylan came in first place memorizing Pi to 264 digits! Unbelieveable! Congratualations to Michael on a job well done! Another activity challenged each homeroom to put the first 52 digits of Pi in order. Greek Mythology
The ELA students from Mrs. Bongiovanni and Ms. Scrimenti's homerooms have taught their classmates about different characters in Greek mythology. They each researched a character and created their own myths explaining how their character created a structure or place, such as the Grand Canyon, Niagra Falls, or the Terracotta Army.
