Pierrepont School was recognized for its Rachel’s Challenge program at the 2017 SNAP Conference. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office held it’s first “Be Wise” contest for innovative school programming dealing with topical issues. This year’s topic was combating hate and bias incidents. 5th grade students in STEM class design a mechanical ROBO arm to lift objects that differ in material and size, from a distance of 12 inches away. Sixth Grade Egypt Projects
The students in Mrs. Bongiovanni's social studies class have been researching about ancient Egypt. Students researched about specific people, such as King Tut or Menes II; ways of life, such as housing and religion, and other elements of ancient Egypt's culture. Groups created artifacts that represent their research and gave oral presentations explaining their chosen topics. Students took a museum tour of the different artifacts created by the class.
