The 6th Grade Pierrepont School Band hosted the guitarist from A Perfect Circle, Billy Howerdel, as a special guest speaker. Billy spoke to the students about his early life playing clarinet in his school band and about his transition to becoming a guitarist in high school. He also spoke about how he worked as a road crew assistant/guitar tech before beginning his first band, as well as writing music for movies. Rachel’s Challenge Recognized By the County
Pierrepont School was recognized for its Rachel’s Challenge program at the 2017 SNAP Conference. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office held it’s first “Be Wise” contest for innovative school programming dealing with topical issues. This year’s topic was combating hate and bias incidents. We are proud to announce that Rachel’s Challenge received this award.
