Ms. Dehnert, Mrs. Barone, and Mrs. Colucci’s classes recently completed an engaging project on New Jersey’s first settlers, the Lenni-Lenape. Students showcased their learning by creating diorama replicas of longhouses or wigwams, or by designing detailed posters about Lenni-Lenape life, culture, and traditions. Main Idea Scavenger Hunt
Fourth graders in Ms. Dehnert and Mrs. Barone’s class had a great time participating in a classroom scavenger hunt as they practiced identifying the main idea in a text. Students worked together to search for clues, explore different learning stations, and put their problem-solving skills to the test.

Whodunit? Students Travel Back to the 1940s for a Schoolhouse Clue Mystery!
In the week leading up to Halloween, Pierrepont students stepped back in time to the 1940s for a special Schoolhouse Clue mystery challenge! Each day, a new clue was revealed over the loudspeaker in the style of a vintage radio broadcast, keeping everyone on the edge of their seats. Students used their detective skills to piece together who did it, where it happened, and with what item. From decoding hints to analyzing suspects, the entire school worked together to crack the case. The suspenseful mix of mystery, history, and teamwork made this Halloween week one to remember! Fourth Grade Students Engineer Model Lighthouses
Students in Mrs. Stallone's fourth grade STEM class designed, engineered, and programmed a working lighthouse using Legos, mirrors, and their SAMLabs block kits. The students learned about the purpose of a lighthouse and used SAMLabs to program their blocks to spin and light up, just like a real lighthouse! The students worked together to figure out a way to get the lighthouse to light up when the room became dark. Fun was had by all in our last project of Quarter 1!
