For International Women's Day, the students in Mrs. Bongiovanni and Ms. Scrimenti's homerooms participated in a game of Jeopardy centered around famous women throughout history. The students studied the material prior to the game and worked in groups to earn points. The topics included literature, sports, and famous leaders and activists. Some of the answers included Susan B. Anthony, Queen Elizabeth I, Ruth Bader Ginsburg, Maya Angelou, and Marie Curie. The school year is moving along and we have been keeping busy at Pierrepont School! It is hard to believe that we are almost midway through the third quarter already. We have been celebrating reading with a sprit week leading up to Read Across America Day on March 1st. Staff and students participated in a Dr. Seuss themed spirit week and our 6th graders served as volunteer readers throughout the day. Pierrepont students will take the PARCC from April 8-16.
