The students in Ms. Scrimenti's 3rd Grade class participated in her annual Pi Day Memorization contest to see who could memorize Pi to the furthest digit (just for fun). The top three students memorized 75, 80, and 102 digits of Pi, respectively. Ms. Scrimenti has been holding this contest for almost 18 years, with a record of 281 digits of Pi memorized by a student. Going all out for Washington School!
First graders were in for a special treat when their teacher, Ms. Maciag, took on the role of President George Washington and visited classrooms throughout the school! Dressed as our nation’s first president, she shared fun and interesting facts about his life and leadership. Mrs. Fesken’s second-grade class was especially prepared with thoughtful questions as they had been learning about President Washington.
