Welcome Back! I trust that the holiday season was peaceful and relaxing for you and your families. As we turn the page on this New Year, we look forward to the next few months with great anticipation. With the holiday season upon us, we can reflect on a productive and exciting fall session. October was a very busy month. We celebrated our Week of Respect, setting the foundation for our year-long character education program. Corey the Dribbler reminded us how we can maintain a healthy school environment by following the acronym R.E.A.D. - Respect, Education, Attitude and Don't Bully. Our annual Hoops and Goals fundraising event for charities raised over $2,500 that was donated to the Andrew Ortega Foundation and Alex’s Superhero Fund. With the fall now finally in full swing, we look forward to a busy November. We will welcome parents and guardians to Washington School for our annual Visitation Day on Tuesday, November 14. A schedule with visitation times for each grade level has been distributed. Parent-Teacher conferences will be held in the evening on Thursday, November 16 and all day on Friday, November 17.
