Word from the Principal

I would like to wish the entire Rutherford Community a Happy New Year from RHS. The excitement is beginning to build as we prepare for the second half of the school year.  Winter sports are off to a fantastic start.  Members of our school musical have been working hard during rehearsals.  Midterm exams will take place on January 17 and run through January 23.  Students will be dismissed from school at 12:10 pm on those four days.  Semester two classes begin on Monday, January 27.  There is a curriculum review night hosted by our Guidance Department and it will take place on January 16.  The seniors are preparing to walk the runway at the Fashion Show, which will take place on February 5. The 11th grade students will take the NJGPA (Graduation Assessment) in March and the NJSLA Science exam in May.  The  9th grade students will take the NJSLA in ELA and Math in May.  Detailed schedules will be distributed shortly.
