March is an exciting and busy time here at RHS.  We just concluded a successful winter season.  As busy as the winter season was, we have an even busier spring ahead.  We start the month off with a March Madness Food and Fun Day hosted by the Rutherford Education Association at Pierrepont School on March 9.  Dr. Hopkins has been working diligently on NJGPA testing which all 11th graders must take.  This (NJGPA) Graduation Proficiency Assessment will take place on March 11 and 12 and March 14 and 15. It’s hard to believe that the school year is already half over.  Semester two began on January 25!  Winter sports have begun tournament play and as always our student athletes are making us proud. The senior fashion will take place on Wednesday, February 7. It will be an amazing night!  The French Soiree will be held on Thursday, February 15 at 7:00 pm.  School will be closed on February 16 and 19 for winter recess.  There will be a PTSA meeting at the high school on February 21 at 7:30 pm.  The RHS musical will be performed on March 15 and March 16.   … [Read more...] about Word from the Principal

It is amazing to me that we are already in December!!!  It has been a very exciting time here at RHS with a successful fall season.   Our band and choir students have been working extremely hard preparing for their Winter Concert.  This year we are again combining our concerts with the hardworking students at Union Middle School.   The UMS and RHS Choir members will be performing at 7:00 PM on Thursday, December 7 at UNION SCHOOL.  The UMS and RHS Band members will be performing on Wednesday, December 20 at RHS.   Our winter sports teams are working hard and in full swing.
