Pierrepont School is excited to kick off our Kids Heart Challenge (formerly Hoops for Heart)! This year the students at Pierrepont will have the opportunity to help “Knock-Out” heart disease and stroke.
With at least a $10 online donation students will be able to participate in a “Knock-Out” tournament and receive a special prize. There will be a male & female champion for each grade level. Proceeds go directly to the American Heart Association. You may also collect donations & receive prizes, even if you do not want to participate in the tournament. The tournament schedule is as follows:
February 26th: 4th grade
February 27th: 5th grade
February 28th: 6th grade
*each event takes place from 3-3:30 in the Pierrepont Gym
How to donate online:
Step 1: Go to american.heart.org/kidsheartchallenge/
Click on Register Now
Step 2: In the Search For Your School area, click on your state, enter the city where your school is located and click the first letter of your school’s name. Once you find your school, click on Join Team.
Step 3: Create your own Username and Password and answer a security question. Click Continue.
Step 4: Fill out the registration form. Review the Online Waiver and click the box to accept it. Once you are done, click the Continue button.
Step 5: A Share With Your Friends screen will pop up. Enter a message that you would like to share via social media and click on the program(s) that you would like to use. Once you are done, click the Publish button.
