Over the last few months, students in 6th grade Gifted and Talented classes have worked in small groups to solve a “fuzzy challenge.” A “fuzzy challenge” is not clear at the start of the assignment. The challenge is complex and mult-dimensional. Very much like real-life situations, all of the teams had the same task, but were competing to create a better solution than other teams. Potential solutions changed as the process evolved. Students gave their final presentations and solutions this morning in front of judges, parents, and Ms. Almaliah in the Pierrepont MPR.
