In June, Chromebooks will be collected from students in Grade 6, Grade 8, and Grade 12. Similar to checking for damage to textbooks and other district-issued supplies, each school will establish a procedure for the check-out process.
A fee will be charged for damaged Chromebooks. The items that will be charged for include:

Charger | Lost/Damaged – Missing charger and/or charger is inoperable | $20 |
Cracked screen/glass | Cracked screen/glass – Visible sign of accidental damage | $90 |
Stickers | Unauthorized stickers that violate acceptable use policy | $20 |
Missing keys | Visible signs that keys have been removed and/or the rubber cap damaged | $80 |
Trackpad damage | Trackpad does not function due to accidental damage | $80 |
Case Damage | Visible damage caused by accidental damage, including the protective bezel | $30 |
Asset Tag missing | RBOE Asset Tag is missing | $5 |
If you have insurance, certain accidental damage will be covered. Please refer to the individual insurance policy.
Each school will be establishing their own collection procedure. Additional information will be distributed on a school-by-school basis.
