Sixth Grade Band
The 6th Grade Pierrepont School Band hosted the guitarist from A Perfect Circle, Billy Howerdel, as a special guest speaker. Billy spoke to the students about his early life playing clarinet in his school band and about his transition to becoming a guitarist in high school. He also spoke about how he worked as a road crew assistant/guitar tech before beginning his first band, as well as writing music for movies. Google Visits Pierrepont School
Pierrepont School was chosen by Google to participate in the Google Expeditions AR Pioneer Program! On October 27, approximately 300 students in grades four, five, and six were given the opportunity to experience this amazing new augmented reality teaching tool.
Google Expeditions AR (augmented reality) uses Google's AR technology to map the physical space in the classroom along with 3D objects such as a beating heart, a swirling hurricane, a German U-Boat, or a rotating planet in outer space.
