Google Visits Pierrepont School
Pierrepont School was chosen by Google to participate in the Google Expeditions AR Pioneer Program! On October 27, approximately 300 students in grades four, five, and six were given the opportunity to experience this amazing new augmented reality teaching tool.
Google Expeditions AR (augmented reality) uses Google's AR technology to map the physical space in the classroom along with 3D objects such as a beating heart, a swirling hurricane, a German U-Boat, or a rotating planet in outer space. We have had a busy fall so far. It is hard to believe that first quarter of the school year is coming to a close! We were very lucky to have had two players from the NY Jets and the founder of Stomp Out Bullying speak with our 5th and 6th graders during the Week of Respect. Pierrepont School was selected by Google to have our STEM and Computer Applications students attend virtual field trips using Explorer AR technology.
