Students in Mrs. Manocchio and Ms. Kosinska/Ms. Levine’s Social Studies classes are learning how to identify ways that historians study the past through primary and secondary sources. To delve deeper into the content, students were able to engage in a Zoom call with classroom aide Mrs. Wisniewski’s daughter who is a PHD student studying paleontology. Students were able to see pictures of fossils that Mrs. Wisniewski has worked with and how her research continues to advance the field of paleontology. At the end of the period, students were able to ask their lingering questions and further expand their knowledge.
