Students from Mrs. Monochello’s third grade targeted reading class will be announcing a Word of the Day to the school.   Students will pick a character trait from their class word list.  They will say what the word means, provide the name of a character in a book who has that trait and provide an example of the character displaying that trait.  Students will be designing a t-shirt, which will have the character trait, example and the book title.  These will be displayed outside Mrs. Monochello’s room.   We hope this initiative develops vocabulary and requires students to support their opinions … [Read more...] about Highlighting Vocabulary
