January 30 to February 3 – Bring your favorite can of soup to donate to the Rutherford Food Pantry from January 30th through February 3rd. Students can place their can(s) on the table of the team they think will win Super Bowl LI on February 5th, creating a real pictograph with their cans! The Correlation Between Absences and Learning-
Research shows that students who have a large number of absences in the first few years of school are significantly more likely to be below grade level by the end of the third grade and also be behind their peers in social and emotional development as well. This gap continues to widen as the child continues on in their school career. It is imperative that children are in school to collaborate and learn from their peers and teachers. During the week of January 23rd, students will participate in the Great Kindness Challenge. Students will challenge themselves to perform as many kind deeds as they can in one week.
