Lincoln students are still being recognized for their character during distance learning. Students who exemplified the principles of self-control were nominated by their teachers as Citizens of the Month. Parents as Co-Teachers
If your children are anything like mine, you are hoping your children treat their teachers better than they do their home school teacher! I often find myself saying, " I know you wouldn't say that to your teacher" or "You think you are going to hand that in looking like that." I can assure you from the teacher perspective children often behave better for someone else than they do their parents. Student’s Opinion Published in Time for Kids
Ms. Mayfield's third graders wrote the editors of Time for Kids to express their views on COVID19. Children shared their thoughts, feelings, and hopes during this time. One of Ms. Mayfield's student's response was selected for the magazine. Aiden wrote, "I am bored. I can still go outside for now, but I wish I could go play with my friends. I miss being at school in person. It is much harder to do stuff on the computer."
