Students enrolled in Pierrepont School's Digital Arts classes in grades 4 and 6 have been collaborating with the RHS students enrolled in TV Production. Throughout the school year, the students will be sharing their work on Google Meet with their counterparts across town. In October, the RHS TV 2 students worked with the Pierrepont Grade 4 students on Stop Motion videos while the RHS TV 3 students worked with the Pierrepont Grade 6 students on Infomercials. Innovative Curriculum Design in Rutherford
The Rutherford Public Schools are excited to be moving into the forefront of curriculum design and lesson planning. We have partnered with the innovative team at Atlas and are in the first stages of transitioning our curriculum from Google Docs to a cloud-based platform that will allow teachers to see updates and changes in real time. Members of the Rutherford High School Concert Choir under the direction of Mrs. Patricia Blanchard were recently part of the National Symphonic Chorus which performed at Carnegie Hall on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Rutherford Students Win Elks Drug Awareness Contest
Congratulations to the Rutherford students who won prizes in the Rutherford Elks Lodge 547 Drug Awareness Contest. This year's theme was: Be Kind To Your Mind - Live Drug Free. Union Middle School students in Ms. Colleen Kiick's classes won two awards. Saisha Patel took the award for best essay in Grade 8. Madison Smith, also in UMS Grade 8, won an award for her poem.
