Rutherford High School's Finding Happiness Through Mindfulness class closed their recent unit with a visit from Hon. James J. Guida, J.S.C (Ret.) of Bergen County. Judge Guida shared his insights and discussed some of the challenges and highlights he experienced throughout his career. ‘Tis the Season for Holiday Music!
The Rutherford High School Select Choir has been making the rounds performing at winter and holiday concerts. Most recently they performed at Vincent United Methodist Church in Nutley and at The Women's Club of Rutherford. The Select Choir is under the direction of Mrs. Patricia Blanchard and is an audition-based group made up of students in grades 9-12 at Rutherford High School. UMS Students Perform in Bergen County Middle School Choir
Congratulations to Union Middle School students CJ Ackermann, Maia Floresca, Felice Kakaletris, and Alexandra Rodriguez Del Busto for their phenomenal performance as members of the 2024 MEBCI Bergen County Middle School Choir on Sunday, November 24th at Ramsey High School in Ramsey, New Jersey! 7th Grade UMS Students Create Community Mural
Seventh-grade students in Mrs. Collins and Mrs. Mac Millan’s classes recently completed a mural project following their reading of The War of the Wall by Toni Cade Bambara. This hands-on project served as a meaningful conclusion to a unit focused on the concept of belonging to a community. Throughout the unit, students explored how communities are defined by shared narratives, and how individuals contribute to the collective story.
