Information sessions for parents new to the Kindergarten Center, Lincoln School, or Washington School will be held on Tuesday, May 12 at the respective schools. The evening events provide parents an opportunity to see their child's school and to hear more about the school community their child will be joining in the fall. PE Teacher of the Day
Washington School was excited to have one of our third graders, Coach Theo Wechsler, serve as “PE Teacher of the Day” through the Rutherford Education Foundation. He had the opportunity to shadow and assist Mr. Melfa throughout the day, teaching PE classes and helping staff during recess. To make the day even more special, Coach Theo and Mr. Melfa even dressed alike, embracing their roles as a team. Mrs. DeRosa’s class celebrated “Blue Day” as part of their character education focus on trustworthiness. Students read The Boy Who Cried Wolf, discussed its important message, and reflected through writing on how they demonstrate trustworthiness at school and at home.
