Students at Pierrepont Elementary School recently participated in the Kids Heart Challenge, raising money for the American Heart Association. Ms. Mahoney, event coordinator and physical education teacher at Pierrepont, is very proud of the students who participated as the group raised $8,247!
The Kids Heart Challenge encourages students to take care of their heart through physical activity while making a difference in the lives of others. Students were able to participate in an after school “knock-out” tournament. They also earned prizes according to how much money they raised.
