On Monday, June 10th, 24 6th grade students in Mrs. Almaliah’s Gifted and Talented class took part in the Business Competition held by the Bergen County Consortium of Teachers of the Gifted. After months of hard work creating a food truck and designing a marketing plan, menus, budgets, social media, etc. to create a well rounded business suitable for a loan from the judges, all the teams met at Valley Middle School in Oakland for competition day.
After careful deliberation from the judges, Pierrepont students took home trophies for two of the three categories and a third team won honorable mention. Ramen Haven (pictured), won the top award – and the “loan” from the judges. Congratulations to our students for all the hard work and great presentations.
