Students in Mrs. Colucci and Mrs. Barone’s math class worked with partners to design and create their own “Geometry Towns.” Each town included examples of lines, line segments, rays, parallel, perpendicular, and intersecting streets. Students also added stores, shops, houses, fields, and pools that featured acute and obtuse angles, along with a pizza shop designed in the shape of a pentagon.
To make their projects unique, students created original names for their towns, streets, and businesses. This engaging project encouraged students to apply geometry concepts while also building creativity, collaboration, and communication skills through teamwork.
