Fifth-grade gifted and talented students spent the second marking period diving into the world of law and justice by exploring the fundamentals of the legal system. They learned about the roles of attorneys, judges, and jurors, while also studying key concepts like fairness and the importance of evidence. To bring their knowledge to life, these young scholars put on a mock trial for their parents, with their 6th-grade peers serving as the jury. This hands-on experience not only sharpens their critical thinking and public speaking skills but also deepens their understanding of how justice is served in the real world.
