Walk to School with the Mayor
Students and their parents joined Mayor Frank Nunziato, members of the Rutherford Borough Council, Rutherford Police and Fire Department to to help promote a healthy lifestyle as part of the Mayor’s Wellness Campaign Initiative. Walkers met at Lincoln Park promptly at 8:00am. Unity Day is Wednesday, October 18. Wear and share ORANGE to send a visible message that no child should ever experience bullying.
Unity Day is an annual event occurring during National Bullying Prevention Month in October that promotes joining together to create healthier communities through kindness, acceptance, and inclusion. It was started by PACER's National Bullying Prevention Center in 2011 and is now celebrated around the world.
Students, staff, and members of our community are encouraged to unite and wear orange!
